The Gamakatsu Short Shank Magic Eye is a new treble from Gamakatsu and like all Gamakatsu hooks, it is produced in Japan using only high tensile strength steel and is chemically sharpened. Using chemically sharpened hooks results in increased hook-up rates and this new hook is no exception.
This is a medium duty hook built on 2x strong wire with a nickel back finish. It has a shorter shank length than the standard Magic Eye enabling it to be used on a wide variety of lures. The magic eye feature means that you are still able to change trebles even without pliers.
The hook is available in sizes 6 right up to 1/0.
