Fishing got introduced into my life when i was around five years old when my dad took me up to our closest impoundment, Clarrie Hall Dam. It was here I landed my first Bass on a surface lure and from the moment I saw that water erupt around my lure on a silent glassy lake, I was hooked. After that first encounter I was obsessed with lure fishing. My passion grew and I continued to gain skills and knowledge from weekend outings to local impoundments and rivers. Further afield I began to target different species like trout on trips to the New England and impoundment barra at Awoonga and Monduran. The Richmond River was my learning and hunting ground where my love of Bream fishing with lures developed.
Nothing beats casting over rock walls into tiger country with my favourite surface lure, the Bassday Sugapen.
