Like most other hardcore fisho’s, I’ve always loved boats, fishing, surfing and being on or around the water. Whether it’s fishing from a Boat, Kayak or Shore based, Fishing is a major part of my life.

I’ve grown up in Southern Sydney and not a day goes by when I don’t think about fishing. Being a dad with 3 girls, fishing is my passion and my saviour. All our family holidays are based on where and when I can start fishing. My wife knew what she was in for when we had to plan the honeymoon around a Barra trip in Central Queensland.

I started fishing from a young age and were lucky enough to have an uncle who built rods as a hobby and I always managed to get one for Christmas and one of my fondest memories was getting up with the old man and heading over to my uncles before the sun came up and hooking his blue pannoupto the bright yellow Haines Hunter and sitting in the boat while they backed it down the ramp.

As the years went on I remember family vacations to Port Macquarieand Lake Conjola catching poddy mullet in cut up orange juice bottles and using them aslivie’s for tailor and big flattiesor anything else that would take our baits.

It wasn’t until later in my early 20’s when I started to target fish on lureswith another mate mad on fishingand we used to camp overnight down Kangaroo Valley and chase thoseelusive Aussie Bass and the fascination of lure fishing took over.

These days I mainly target Bream and Bass and have been fishing in Bream Tournaments on and off for the past few years and I still remember landing my 1st Bream in a comp on the Georges River in Sydney on an Atomic Crank 38 Deep slow rolled around the jetties and boat hulls.

I was fortunate enough to join the Frogleys Team last year and I’m excited to see and be part of a team which is taking fishing to the next level.

I’m a Jeweller by trade and also work in one of the local Tackle Stores so feel free to pop in and have a chat or you can follow me on my Facebook and Instagram Pages Chinny’s Angling Adventures.
