Gawaine Blake

Born in the UK and migrating to Aus at the age of 13 fishing has been my life.

It took a big jump forward once here, getting work experience on a cray boat in Perth then later on a charter boat in Sorrento Victoria.

In next to no time I became the youngest in Victoria to get the coxswains ticket and own my own cray boat at 18

I grew up on the Mornington Penisula surfing diving and fishing,  slowly I grew tired of commercial fishing and moved on to recreational chartering where I have skippered for many company’s boats as well as my own.

I have featured on fishing Tv shows such as IFISH,  YouFishtv and That’s Fishing  as well as regular interviews on local fishing radio shows, the Casey radio fishing show and bayside adventures.

I now Guide charter on customers boats and frequently give angler talks through out metropolitan Melbourne at angling clubs and tackle shops.

I love every aspect of fishing especially in Victoria with our temperate climate, it’s an ever changing fishery through out the year but find I my self drawn the the Victorian off shore sport fishing scene, where I find myself challenged the most.
